There is something very classic about black and white photography. Black and White is what got me started in photography decades ago. I’d shoot all day, any subject I could find, children, flowers, whiskey bottles etc. and process my films and make black and white prints at night.
I think black and white strips the image of all its distractions, and you can concentrate on the emotion that these photos have.
Most couples ask me these days whether they’ll get any pictures in black and white. I shoot color all the time and that decision is taken in the post-production stage.
Most wedding pictures will work only in color, the mehndi, baraat, the pheras, haldi, sindor and other rituals are full of color and that will not translate well in black and white.
However pre-wedding photos are ideally suited for black and white, and the foll. These photos are proof of that.
