After watching May 5 edition of Raw I was disappointed. Although this kind of disappointment is not new in the WWE. After Wrestlemania everything seems to take place to a new WWE Era. An Era of new beginnings, but I was wrong. Meanwhile this in not the first time WWE mess things up. When the muse or inspiration is out, then the easiest thing to do is recycle storylines and rivalries.
After watching Extreme Rules that steals the show with Evolution vs. The Shield I was disappointed in the Raw after the Pay-Per-View. It seems that the three main events of Extreme Rules: Evolution vs. The Shield, Bray Wyatt vs. John Cena and Kane vs. Daniel Bryan are far from over. Evolution attacks The Shield again and Triple H pedigree Roman Reigns, WOW “super original”. Bray Wyatt keeps getting creepier like a cult leader wanting to destroy the world and start a new world with his name. Finally Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella are scare for the monster Kane that keeps chasing them like Jason or Michael Myers. It is very boring, because there are a lot of talent right now in the WWE that is being wasted by repeated storylines and rivalries. I know that WWE is protecting new talent like Cesaro, because they want bigger things for him, but in a slower pace. But, come on, you don’t have to make a movie of a rivalry. Not all rivalries are worthy of a rematch. There are rumors that Roman Reigns will face Triple H in Summerslam. Summerslam is in August so there is still a lot of time for this showdown. After all, we have to understand that Wrestlemania is the golden goose for the WWE and that WWE don’t have competition. Another important aspect is the WWE Network. If you buy the WWE Network then you will have access for all the WWE history and also their lame pay-per-views.
After analyzing the WWE history of recycle rivalries I came to the conclusion that this means lack of motivation and inspiration. They have the product in automatic driving. We have to wait until Summerslam and hope for the product to get better. After all we will be WWE fans forever. True fans will never quit and the WWE knows.
