Graduation time is here and it’s time to get the things you have to have so you can have an amazing party. Now if you are anything like me, you’ll want it to be fun but cheap, so here are a few suggestions.
First off, get paper plates and cups. No matter what kind of party you are trying to have, no one wants to spend the next day cleaning dishes from here until kingdom come. So be smart and buy cheap. My suggestion is get the leak-proof ones. They are pretty sturdy as well, and if you take care of them well, they can even be reused if you are cheap enough.
Secondly, If you are trying to keep it cheap, just order pizza. If you search for a good deal, you can find large pizza’s for 5 bucks a piece. In addition to pizza I suggest some chips and dip. You can make a mean 7 layer dip for cheap. I’ll leave a link to a recipe below along with a few other cheap party favorites. Oh yeah, and don’t forget drinks. Now depending on your age your going to want to buy your drinks accordingly. Make sure no matter what you do you make sure there are always enough refreshments and variety is good. Nothing kills a party more then a bunch of thirsty guest.
Thirdly you will need some cheap party gifts. Streamers and balloons are cheap and if you organize the decorations correctly you can make some pretty cool designs. So for example if it’s your niece graduating from elementary school then get colorful balloons and draw some Sesame Street characters on them. You can do a lot if you put your mind to it.
Finally, make sure to provide games. Now in this day and age all games are played on the television but if you want to go retro there really is no bad choice except I suggest staying away from games that are way too long like Monopoly and Risk. Keep more towards board games like Twister and Charades. If you are a gamer play your standard FPS’s like Halo and Call Of Duty. Again games can vary depending your age so behave accordingly.
