As everybody expected, Carlos Tévez was left out of Argentina’s National Team. Meanwhile, Colombia still is waiting for Radamel Falcao to make the team. But there are other important names that were not took into consideration by their Managers and will not be at Brazil 2014. Here are five of them:
-Samir Nasri: The absence of Nasir came with real shock because of his great season with England’s Premier League Champions Manchester City. However, Didier Deschamps, France’s manager, was never a big fan of Nasri and now neither of his girlfriend: Deschamps is taking legal actions against Anara Antanes after she attacked Deschamps on Twitter for left her boyfriend out of Brazil.
-Alberto Gilardino: WIth the great season Gillardino was having, people at his team, Genoa, were sure about his inclusion on Italy’s squad. They apparently scheduled a tweet congratulating the player for the moment the list will be announced. But Cesare Prandelli announced the list without Gilardino, the tweet was published and deleted later, and Italy will go to Brazil without a player who has scored 19 goals for the Azzurri.
-Filipe Luis: To be honest, Luiz Felipe Scolari has long ago used the same players, and Filipe Luis was never part of Brazil’s manager list. But after being one of the corner stones of Atletico de Madrid great season, we expected a last minute change of mind from Scolari. But that is not the style of Scolari.
-Ashely Cole: One last World Cup is what some great players expect. Cole will not play his fourth World Cup. After he received the bad news, Cole immediately announced his retirement from international soccer. He played 107 games with England.
-Eddie Johnson: United States will need a lot of help in Brazil, playing against Germany, Portugal and Ghana in the Group of Death. Johnson scored important goals for USA during World Cup’s Qualifying, but apparently it was not enough for Jürgen Klinsmann to include the striker in his list.
