Last February, Island Cove Hotel and Leisure Park came up with a promo called “The Cove Collage.”
So I gathered our photos taken from our previous Island Cove trips and made two collage entries, one for myself and one for my daughter. Luckily, we both made the cut and the total of prizes we won included Oceania Waterpark day passes for 10 people, Animal Island passes for 10 people, two hotel overnight accommodations for eight, and 2000 pesos worth of food gift certificates.
Last Saturday, my birthday, we went to “The Cove” to use the Oceania day passes. As early as 10am, we plunged into the waters ignoring the blistering heat of the sun. And I tell you, no matter how hot it is, once you’re there you can never resist getting wet.
For lunch, we went to Sangley Point Express and ordered their Jumbo Plate. The chicken were so crispy and the whole rib (oh man! the rib!) was so tender that you can tear it up using toothpicks.
After the delicious lunch, we explored the entire place. Marvel at these photos taken from the waterpark:
The park has four slides and an inflatable balloon slide on its 4 to 5 feet pool, its main pool. Every visit, I don’t miss the chance to get on the green slide. Even my two-year old daughter wants to try the slides. After convincing her that she’s too small for it, she then resorted to saying – “Slide Daddy, on the green one.” And kept on repeating it until I got exhausted in going up the stairs and down to the waters for four “buwis-buhay” times.
This 2-3 feet pool is where my daughter had her chance to try the slide. With me helping her to get up on it and her mom waiting for her down the waters.
We were so fond of swimming, we didn’t get to use our Animal Island passes but its certain that we’ll be back before the summer of 2014 ends. At 5 in the afternoon, we decided to call it a day. Tanned but happy. Tired but grateful.
