When you are paid on a commission basis, there is no limit to the amount of money you can earn as you successfully close deal after deal in your chosen sales field. I have enjoyed a six-figure income, because I am paid for my results. There is no better feeling than to know that you can increase your income year after year after year just by closing more business.
2. Sell Solutions
People appreciate a sales professional who listens to their needs and then provides a detailed proposal on how the service or product they represent will be the answer to their requirements. You are developing a relationship and people value the sales pro who will listen to them first and foremost and then provide a great solution versus just selling them something.
3. Communicate Clearly
Selling is also an interview process, a conversation between you and your client where questions are asked, discoveries are made and solutions proposed. Being clear in your communication is critically important so that you understand the expectations of your client and your client fully appreciates your proposal.
4. Declare Your Goals
As you work in your chosen sales field, numbers quickly become key in tracking your success. Setting goals, in writing, for your yearly sales volume, annual earnings, new clients won and any other metric you wish to measure is the best way to monitor your progress and stay on track.
5. Sell With Integrity
People choose to buy from people they know, trust and like. Over my selling career I have made it my mantra to do what I have promised to do for my clients. This is key to your success. Always keep your word, which is your integrity, and your clients will want to do business with you again and again.
