I was recently doing some shopping in Folsom California with my family and decided to get some frozen yogurt. I mistakenly turned into the wrong entrance but before correcting myself spotted a new restaurant called “Fluffy Snow”. With nothing more than curiosity driving, I pulled up and we walked inside. It was quiet, and a friendly gentleman greeted us. We asked him what the heck they were advertising. He told us it was hard to explain, but it’s NOT ice cream, NOT shaved ice, and NOT frozen yogurt. With a sample, we were sold.
Fluffy Snow serves it’s own version of a popular Taiwanese treat, snow ice. Its a gluten free, dairy free flavored treat that has a consistency similar to cotton candy, but frozen. It’s like a combination of frozen yogurt and shaved ice. The name “Fluffy Snow” hits the nail on the head, because it mimics fluffy snow, with great flavor. It is, in fact, hard to explain, but definitely worth a try!
In flavors like chocolate, orange-vanilla, mango, and strawberry, Fluffy Snow serves heaping portion of snow ice with two toppings of your choice. A small is definitely shareable.
Also serving smoothies, tea and coffee, if given the chance, this little unique treat shop should take off! It opened very recently in Folsom, but there are similar places in the bay area taking off hugely.
If you are craving a frozen treat, with a unique twist stop by Fluffy Snow in Folsom.
