A show worth the monthly Netflix subscription alone is its original series, “House Of Cards”. The show has it all, including three Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe Award to show for its excellence. I started watching the show last year with the debut of the show’s first season. The second season just left me wanting a third season. Rumors are that the third season is expected.
An amazing cast
Kevin Spacey plays a political heavy hitter who plays the political game by his own rules. He is diabolical to say the least. Spacey plays Francis “Frank” Underwood, a quickly rising star in the White House political hierarchy. He plays the character with the southern charm, ruthless manipulative manner that suits the theme of the show with such a convincingly persona that it would have us all cringe at the thought of having him represent our country.
Robin Wright, won a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Series (Drama) on her second nomination for the award and first for her part in” House Of Cards”. Wright plays the wife of Francis “Frank” Underwood, Claire Underwood, who is a woman on a mission to climb the political ladder next her husband.
The cast members make a cohesive group of excellence in acting. The performances of the actors make this a series not to miss if you love drama, politics, murder and manipulation.
Netflix season at a time platform
The unique nature of how to watch a television series on Netflix make it original and a bit risky. They choose to present their original series by allowing the viewer the ability to watch all 13 episodes at their own pace. This is risky because it allows the series viewer to watch a series in a single sitting or at a pace quicker than a regular televised series. Will the audience be bored or frustrated by having their viewing taste buds piqued and left wanting more? Perhaps this strategy is just pure genius.
As a fan, I will be watching “House Of Cards” again each time a new season comes out just to make sure I get the full benefit of the new season. It is this fan’s hope that this is just the beginning of high quality, watch at your own pace, shows on Netflix and other streaming sites.
