When I was a young boy, each summer RAID ran an animated television commercial which indicated that their product killed ants. Once the ants were sprayed, they would fall down with their feet up. Often they would be in front of a headstone, with flowers in their hands.
The message was clear: Raid kills bugs dead. A similar commercial was just on this afternoon. My mother used RAID, but we were never totally free of ants. All anyone had to do was drop food crumbs on the sidewalk and ants would appear out of nowhere.
In recent years, the dangers of pesticides have been made known. For this reason, growing numbers of people are seeking natural alternatives. If you are bothered by ants, and do not desire the use of chemical sprays, there are natural methods that should keep them away.
