Natalia Livingston was the last actress to play Emily Quartermaine when the character was killed off the show several years ago. She took the part over from Amber Tamblyn. Most fans will admit that they preferred Amber’s portrayal of the character over Natalia’s, but part of that preference also comes from the way the character was written. Natalia was the grown-up Emily who would become a doctor, fight breast cancer, be involved in serious relationships, get raped, etc. The character became a very much annoying know-it-all, which was often pointed out in the show, but she was still beloved by fans too.
Emily Quartermaine was killed off the show several years ago, but has made many appearances since then as a ghost. In one instance, she appeared with other deceased family members in an attempt to help Monica and Tracy get along better instead of always arguing. But this time, Emily’s return isn’t about her family. She is coming to visit with her former boyfriend, Nikolas. The fans can only guess as to why she is going to appear, but it’s probably going to be to help him decide if he wants to stay with Britt or be with Elizabeth. It also might be to help open his eyes to Britt’s deceptions.
Natalia Livingston’s return is obviously going to be very brief since she’s a ghost. The actress also has other commitments to attend to. She’s going to be playing Liza Park in the upcoming web dramedy, Tainted Dreams.
