Take a long hot bubble bath, with almost a whole tub full of fragrant bubbles. It always feels so good to soak those muscles, especially if you are on your feet almost all day like I am. It is so relaxing to just soak for 20 to 30 minutes. The Oil of Olay body washes are great as are the Yves Rocher brands like the wonderful smell of Indian Cotton Flower body washes. These make lots of bubbles and that is the whole point of a bubble bath.
Walk your dog! When it’s sunny outside, go out and get walking. You may be surprised at how good it feels to get out there and get some sun and air. Your dog will appreciate spending the extra special time with you. It’s great exercise for both of you.
This is one of my favorite ways to distress if I had a bad or hard work- day and just need to get it all out. I go to the store and push around a cart almost all the way around. I do this even if I intend to buy only a small amount of items. I honestly don’t know exactly why it helps, but it does. Plus, that is also a way to get exercise in and unwind a bit.
A girls day out, or maybe in your case, a guys day out. My best friend and I go to the casino once a month. We don’t have a lot of money when we go, all we can afford is $30.00 to $40.00 apiece but it is so much fun. We get away from everyone and everything and just go in and play. We might be in the casino for two to three hours. It gets us both out of our town and doing something different once in while is a wonderful thing.
Take a day off from work and do whatever you want to do. If you want to do nothing, then that’s what you do. I like to clean, that seems to be one of my main ways to unwind. Reading magazines is also a good way to relax for a while. Whatever it is that you need or want to do, just take some time for you. No one knows better than you.
