Man, I absolutely love playing video games! It doesn’t matter whether it is a role playing game, a strategy game or a simulation. I can lose myself in the game’s environment for hours on end. My job has been getting in the way of my gaming lately. I have been missing out and have yet to finish the final level of Megaman. I have been considering the possibility of trying to start a business online. I need to find the best business to start from home so my video gaming will not be interrupted. “Whats a good business to start for a video game player,” I questioned myself. My job is lousy and I cannot afford to open my own retail store. Ah ha! If I am going to start a business, I’ll do so using the internet.
In my quest, I began by looking for the best business to start. First, I jotted down a list of the possible jobs that I could do from home. I know everything there is to know about video games, I am a decent writer and I am good with a computer. Well, It would be kind of fun to write about my adventures in the virtual realm. Maybe a video game blog would be the best business to start!
I started my own blog and began posting articles. I had an absolute blast describing the details of my latest virtual journey. I vividly detailed my journey into the wasteland and discussed healing my wounds with make believe potions with the push of a button. I giggled gleefully as I described demolishing an entire town in second. Man, this is the way to really start a business. Wait, wait just a second! How am I making money with this thing? Sure, people enjoy reading what I have to say, but my blog isn’t generating any revenue.
I wasn’t making any money. I tossed my Playstation controller to the floor and turned to Google for the answer. Within seconds I discovered the answer! I needed to monetize my blog in order to make money. With a few minutes of researched, I was convinced Google Adsense was the be all end all. Therefore, I signed up for an account and monetized my blog. With each article I posted, visitors poured in and clicked the ads! My revenue began to grow and my video game collection did the same. I couldn’t have been happier. Or could I?
I was instantly hooked after receiving my first $100 payout. I needed more! I researched other ways of monetizing a blog and discovered affiliate programs. Wow! I can start a business like that? Awesome, I signed up with Amazon’s affiliate program and created my own store. Not only was I playing video games, I was now in the business of selling video games. I couldn’t believe it! What a dream come true.
