Today I am thankful to the Lord. He has been so very good to me. I remember this wisdom that is in the book of Job 11:15. It says, “Surely then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; Yea, thou shalt be steadfast, and shalt not fear.”
When God gave His chosen people the instructions for the life that pleases Him, He gave them the Commandment to love Him with all their hearts, all their souls, and all their might and secondly, teach His Word to their children. Read Deuteronomy 6:5-9. It is a fact that most of us often forget that we must not walk in fear because God’s perfect love will give us the blessed assurance. no matter what comes our way. We are standing on holy ground and we serve a mighty God who will never fail. I think that William Wordsworth and Ralph Waldo Emersom expressed it so beautiful in their poetry and I will repeat it here. We are to have grateful hearts because of what the Lord has done, what He is doing now, and what he will do. As Mother’s Day approaches, I am reminded of our family’s strength and how each family member played a part in our family’s happiness. It was by accepting Jesus Christ the Son of God as personal Savior and growing in the grace, and knowledge of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Love for God and His awesome Word of wisdom is the most powerful element that strong family foundations and ties ties can be built on. Christian Mothers are the ones who are the ones who are mostly responsible for pointing their children in the right direction through prayer, teachings, and nourishing their children and bringing them up in the way of righteousness. Good mothers are supported by good husbands in the raising and training of their children. They raise them up in love, not fear.
William Wordsworth wrote: Small service is true service while it lasts: Of humblest friends scorn not one:The daisy, by the shadow it casts, Protects the lingering dewdrop from the sun.
And Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote: “Without a false humility; For this is love’s nobility,–Not to scatter bread and gold, Goods and raiment bought and sold; But to hold fast his simple sense, And speak the speech of innocence, And with hand and body and blood, To make his bosom-counsel good. He that feeds man serveth few; He serves all who dares be true.”
Prayer For Today
Heavenly Father, I am thankful for the blessings I am inclined to forget. Thank you for Giving me a heart of gratitude, and forbid that I should hold my friends for material gain or selfish ends. May I through the truthfulness of my lips, and the honor of my acts, be a true friend in Jesus Christ. Bless all mothers to raise their children and teach them the way of the Lord. We give you the praise, glory and honor in His name. Amen.
