Juice bars reflect Atlanta’s health conscious consumers willing to seek out a healthy treat, meal replacement, detox or a powerful antioxidant. There’s not much better than a stop by a juice bar for a punch of phytonutrients, antioxidants and fuel.
Atlanta’s Best Juice Bars
In recent years, juice bars have sprung up all over Atlanta. When you are in Atlanta looking for a detox or refuel, the following are my four favorite juice bars.
3757 Roswell Road, NE
Atlanta, GA 30342 (Buckhead)
Mon-Fri: 7am – 8pm; Sat: 8am-8pm; Sunday 10am-7pm
Arden’s Garden is familiar to Atlanta health enthusiasts. Their bottled juices are available at grocers, bistros, and cafes throughout Atlanta. For the best taste and healthiest fare stop by one of their 7 convenient locations and have a fresh, cold pressed juice or smoothie. The friendly, professional staff know their juices and love to share their knowledge. Arden’s Garden is best known for the Grand Slam: individual shots of fresh lemon, wheat grass, cranberry juice and ginger. It’s a powerful punch that leaves you feeling fresh and energetic. I love to stop by the Buchkhead location on Roswell Road.
Kale Me Crazy
300 North Highland Avenue, Suite B
Atlanta, GA 30307 (Inman Park)
Mon-Fri: 7am-8pm; Sat: 9am-8pm; Sun: 10am-6pm
Kale Me Crazy is more than just a juice bar. It is a haven of healthy eating and living. Atlanta Vegans have found a favorite spot for fresh organic salads, veggie wraps, and acia bowls to accompany their juice. Juices are cold pressed, of course. Kale Me Crazy reflects their belief in healthy living, down to the environmentally friendly décor. This is a great stop for a post-workout refuel, energy shot, or wholesome, healthy snack. The shop opened only last year and has quickly become a favorite, creating a sense of community among its customers.
NrGize Lifestyle Café
261 19th Street, Ste. 1140
Atlanta, GA 30363 (Atlantic Station)
Mon-Fri 8am-9pm; Sat-Sun 9am-4pm
Don’t shout me down. I know NrGize is a franchise and most are located inside of LA Fitness. I like what they have to offer and love the location. It’s super convenient after a workout. Let’s talk fresh and fit: NrGize does use fresh ingredients provide the base for juices, meal replacements and pre- and post-workout protein shakes. The variety of choices is a big plus that puts them at the top of my list. Sugar content is not too high, lower than most franchise bars. Most menu items are wheat, gluten, and peanut free. When consuming protein drinks it is a good idea to keep an eye on the sodium content. Other than that, they offer a huge variety of helpful supplements from antioxidants to fiber.
This is a great post-workout place to grab a little healthy fuel on the go. Watch for expansion of NrGize outside of the traditional gym setting.
56 E Andrews Dr NW
Atlanta, GA 30305 (Buckhead)
Mon-Fri: 7am-5pm, Sat: 9am-4pm, Sun: Closed
Juicy Jenny is another Buckhead crowd-pleaser, offering coffee, tea, smoothies, and vegan lunches. Cozy, warm ambiance that promotes the feeling that you are making a good decision for your body and health. You’ll enjoy super combination smoothies and delightful vegan dishes. She even has vegan muffins, and they are good. This is authentic health food. It is good for you, so just because the title sounds scrumptious, don’t expect a sugar-filled treat. You will get something that will fuel your body and fill it with antioxidants, the super foods it needs. If you are looking for a sweet treat, head over to LA Fitness to NrGize.
