When overweight women want to accomplish their fat loss goals, muscle toning machine exercises will do the trick. As a personal trainer, I work with mostly overweight women, and many want to know some simple toning exercises for their muscles. There are three machines I recommend.
These machines give the support needed to perform each of the exercises with the proper form.
Many find they can exercise using much more weight when using machines than with free weights because of the added assistance, while the weight on some machine exercises will feel heavier than with free weights because the muscle being worked is better isolated.
The result is a muscle-toning calorie burn that rips off the fat and keeps the metabolism at a great high. Although most machine exercises prove helpful, there are a specific few that are especially great for overweight women.
Overweight women must try the seated pulley row
In fact, they should do more than try the seated pulley row; they should incorporate it into their workout routine on a regular basis.
This is one of the multi-joint motions that work several body parts all at once. It works the back, the arms, the chest, and even the abs. Multi-muscle movements (known as compound) burn more calories than those that isolate muscles. This helps overweight women see faster results.
The seated chest press is a highly recommended muscle toning machine exercise
Some overweight women have problems doing chest exercises. For example, some of them find it impossibly difficult to do pushups. The common inclined bench press is a great exercise, but many who are obese find being on their back while doing the work to prove difficult because their bodyweight compresses their lungs just when they need the extra oxygen.
This isn’t a problem with the seated chest press. The lungs are able to expand as needed while the muscles get worked.
The leg press is a classic machine exercise and vital for overweight women
Squats are excellent, but they can be rough on the knees of someone carrying extra pounds. Overweight women might not have the leg strength to support their body weight as they attempt to perform the move. The leg press is a superperb toning machine exercise that can strengthen the leg muscles to a point where squats can finally be performed.
Overweight women who do exercises with these aforementioned machines will find that reaching their fitness goals will be a lot easier. However, it must be pointed out that the amount of resistance set on the equipment must make eight to 12 repetitions DIFFICULT! And how difficult? You must struggle to get in that very last repetition. If you can complete 13 reps, the load is not heavy enough.
