Mothers are precious gifts from God. They should be honored every day, not just on special occasions such as “Mother’s Day” which will be May 11, 2014. However, on Mother’s day, find a way to honor them in an extra special way! Following is my tribute to all mothers in 2014.
Mothers are capable, through God, to nourish and birth another human being. We would not be alive if it were not for our mothers. The bond between mother and child surpasses all others. It is everlasting!
Mother’s eyes carefully watch every stage of their offspring’s lives. She sees and feels when they are in pain, shares their joy during happy times, and encourages them when they fail. She always offers her shoulder to cry on.
Mother’s ears listen as their child speaks their first word. She rejoices as the “apple of her eye” laughs, cries, pouts, and takes their first steps. Mother’s ears cherish each and every sound coming forth from their “miracles.”
Mother’s hands are always busy. She uses them to give soothing touches to ease pain. She bathes, administers medicine, prepares meals, cleans house, and disciplines through love with her hands.
Mother’s heart is as big as the universe. She cherishes, loves always, and endures pain. Her heart holds compassion, faith, forgiveness, and everlasting pride in her children’s accomplishments as well as their failures.
Nothing is as precious to a mother as her children. She always builds them up and never tears them down!
Cherish your Mother every day by telling her you love her. Do as much as you can to make her happy. Mothers are not perfect, and neither are we, but they deserve our honor, respect, and love nonetheless.
Thank you to all mothers who give birth and provide nourishment throughout our lives. I am so thankful God made mothers! Happy Mother’s Day!
