Climate change is no longer something that will happen in the future. It is already here, we live in a changed climate. Nobody on this planet is going to be untouched by climate change.
A new report from the United Nations-sponsored Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) found that climate change will push food prices higher and increase hunger around the world.
Climate change is worsen problems that society already has, such as poverty, sickness, violence and refugees, according to IPCC report. And on the other end, it will act as a brake slowing down the benefits of a modernizing society, such as regular economic growth and more efficient crop production. Some societies may be able to adapt to food shortages or the other widely reported impacts of climate change, such as sea level rise. However, these societal adaptations will have their limitations.
Reductions in yields of wheat and maize have already had an impact on food prices, and some argue on the stability of nations as well. Extreme weather – from floods to wildfires – continues to take an increasing toll, and climate change will likely exacerbate many existing world problems.
Many of the key risks are particular challenges for the least developed countries and vulnerable communities, given their limited ability to cope.
Understanding that climate change is a challenge in managing risk opens a wide range of opportunities for integrating adaptation with economic and social development, and with initiatives to limit future warming.
While most of us would like to think that we aren’t part of the problem, the fact remains that we all are contributing to the climate change in one way or another. But don’t give up yet. While we can’t give up our way of life, you as an individual can take action.
Having a new approach to adapting, which seems to be what we will have to do to stay alive, may spark some interest with some people, making climate change a creative challenge.
Combat climate change, desertification, malnutrition, food shortages and help communities getting purified water with the Moringa tree.
Meet Moringa the Miracle Tree
The effects of climate change are making droughts more of a norm than an exception. This is a pattern that places some of the most vulnerable communities in an increasingly precarious position when it comes to meeting basic food needs.
Moringa trees grow fast and well in dry areas. The presence of long taproot makes Moringa resistant to periods of drought making it the idea plant to battle desertification.
For smallholder farmers in drylands, a failed harvest can mean months of malnutrition and hardship. “Conventional” crops are often not native and require expensive inputs, significant irrigation and land preparation in order to produce a successful harvest. This means that they are more vulnerable to droughts. Morinfa trees, on the other hand, often survive when other crops fail.

Studies showed that this simple method of filtering not only diminishes water pollution, but also harmful bacteria. The moringa powder joins with the solids in the water and sinks to the bottom. This treatment also removes 90-99% of bacteria contained in water. Moringa oleifera seeds treat water on two levels, acting both as a coagulant and an antimicrobial agent.
This time do not hand it over to organisations. Do it yourself!
