The liar of the very best dance clubs in Denver is a varied assortment of styles, scattered here and there throughout the Mile High City. Mostly active on weekends, these music lounges keep the action going all night.
Norad Dance Bar – No visit to Northwest Denver (Curtis Park area) would be complete without a stop at Norad Dance Bar. While Norad doesn’t pull the same big name DJs that Beta Nightclub does, the $10 cover charge so much more affordable than $30+ on an average weekend. Plus, Norad Dance Bar has a great upstairs area with class vinyl and a Disco House feel. Tom C. had this to say: “It has a friendly, intimate vibe because everybody here are die-hard fans of house, tech house and deep house.” Don’t let the shabby exterior fool you – Norad is a Denver dance club worth visiting at least once. Located at 821 22nd St., Denver, CO 80205, Norad is open Thursday through Sunday. You can check them out online here.
La Rumba – Located in Southwest Denver (Golden Triangle area), La Rumba is a stand-out dance club thanks to the addition of dance classes for newcomers to salsa steps. Seasonal events, like costume contests, round-out a full calendar with lots of opportunity for getting your groove on. “You don’t have to dress up, but it helps get you in the mood. Show off those legs ladies!” commented Robin P., who enjoyed the Salsa Workshop on her first visit to La Rumba. With a full bar, staff DJ, and happy hour, it’s no wonder this Denver dance club is jumpin’ from Thursday to Saturday each week. Visit La Rumba online here, and at 99 W. 9th Ave., Denver, CO 80204.
Beta Nightclub – This Northwest Denver (Lodo area) favorite has some of the best DJs in the Mile High City. Located at 1909 Blake St., Denver, CO 80202, and online here, Beta Nightclub is a fantastic first choice for visitors and residents alike. “They have the hottest DJs and it ends up being an amazing experience,” gushed Kyla A., with Roy H. echoing her sentiments when he said, “I have been to many clubs all over this wonderful country and NO ONE can top the sound system here.” There is a full bar, on staff DJ, and a cover charge – best to buy tickets in advance if you’d like to see a specific DJ. Open Thursday through Saturday, Beta Nightclub is 18+ rather than 21-and-up.
Tracks Nightclub – If you want to experience multiple music genres in the same dance outing, I highly recommend Tracks Nightclub in Northwest Denver (Five Points area). With several different rooms to choose from, you can completely customize your partying experience. Open Thursday through Sunday, with a Happy Hour and open bar, Tracks has a lot to offer. The cover here is only $5, and the Gay vs. Straight comedy night isn’t to be missed – Tracks is categorized as a Gay Bar, and one of the best in Denver. “They attract the best drag queens in the country,” commented Rebeca R. “The show itself was pretty great, they even had acrobats swinging from the sky.” You can find Tracks Nightclub at 3500 Walnut St., Denver, CO 80205, or online here.
