There are many events that are taking place for the Memorial Day holiday weekend. Some events will last all weekend long while others will celebrate on Memorial Day, which is May 26, 2014. And then, there are some communities that are waiting to observe the holiday later in the week. Here are some events that will be taking place in the Mid-Michigan area.
Hubbardston, Michigan, is a small town with big heart. The small town will actually be having events the entire Memorial Day weekend. There will an Antique Car Show, Soap Box Derby, Kids Crafts at Mill Pond Park, Outside Movie, Outside Mass, and of course one of my favorite activities to watch a parade on Memorial Day starting at 12:30 p.m.
St. Johns, Michigan
Memorial Day will be celebrated and observed on May 30, 2014 for St. Johns, Michigan. The Memorial Day Parade and Observation will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a parade that begins downtown and continues out to Mount Rest Cemetery to honor those who have gone before us.
Ithaca will be hosting a Memorial Day Service and Parade. The activities will begin at 10 a.m. at the All Wars Memorial which is located on the Courthouse Lawn. The Ithaca Courthouse is located right on Main Street.
