Dawn, good afternoon,
Excellent question. My theory is that humans are unable to overcome biases due to preferences. Background history, familiarity and the lack of abilities to cross train. Teachers struggle with disconnections when assisting students to arrive at their personal destinations plus the standards of any system. Plus, the brain is very fascinating that they muscle is similar to the muscles we use daily. Our leg muscles have a process to break down and build. We use machines to break down and build muscle in our legs. Most athletes have encountered excellent trainers who have created programs to cross train their muscles with certain nutritional routines, work out routines, and stamina routines. In most cases, coaches still have a staff to get the athlete to perform at its highest level as the Olympians would suggest in muscle performance under pressure and competition. This is similar to the case that I am building with the brain with cognitive processing, behavior and conduct. It is Mental athletics. Some people use puzzles and games to build their brain muscle. Some people say school give your brain a work out. But, very few people can take those brain exercises and create a system as to the Olympics for the brain. This is my theory that we need a system as to athletics for the brain and then after we create a system for the brain, we must put this system on a test drive, so we can see if we can build a mental Olympics for the brain. This is the process that will galvanize our future and hopefully decrease mortality rates. The question is can I do enough in this life time to see results or must it be a starting domino effect, (snow ball effect) to get the ball rolling.
I do not like to compare religion or spirituality with my theories, but it is almost the application process to the quote, words are energy. Athletes have learned that movement is energy. Now the concept of mind over matter instead of matter over mind will begin to shift once this is theory show some evidence in my hypothesis. My research will collect the data, but my insight will organize and manage the data in a way that the themes and connections will create energy as to a chemist is to chemicals. It is coming to fruition, and I am so very excited to be on the journey. I am so very close and closure is closer than when I started at the age of 19. Thank you again Dawn for the discussion.
