I write a lot about different ways to make money online because there are so many ways being advertised to earn an income at home. One of these ways is answering questions. This is different from answering survey questions. How it works is you simply log onto a website where people have posted questions that they need answers to. You then look for questions that you are qualified to answer, type up your answer and submit it.
This seems like a pretty good way to make money at first, the questions pay between 2-5 dollars each and you can answer them in a matter of seconds. Most of the answers can be found by doing a quick web search. I have signed up for one company which allowed you to answer 15 questions per day. I did my part and answered my questions each day for two weeks straight. This is what I found out. There are thousands of people out there answering the same question you are, it is up to the asker to choose which answer they like best so it is very important that your answer be thorough. Also, I learned that when answering questions keep it simple, a lot of technical terms only confuses people and therefore they will choose another answer as the best.
After two weeks of answering questions, spending my time to find the right answers for people I was awarded 11 dollars. I won several questions but this was hardly worth my time. I cashed out and they did pay but not through PayPal as most people do, they paid through a company called square cash, who I knew nothing about. This company wanted all of my bank account information so they could deposit the 11 dollars, I was not too happy with this idea, it is one thing to link PayPal to my bank because they are a well-known company but to give my information out to a company I knew nothing about did not sit well with me.
So I never gave the company my bank information and they sent the money back to the website I had answered questions for, I have considered getting a prepaid debit card in order to get my money but at this time it really just seems like a lot of hassle for a minimal reward. How can you make a site like this work for you? I have found that while doing my freelance work, there are times that I just need a break, I don’t need to stop working, I just need to get away from the particular job I am working on and clear my head. This is when I would answer the questions on such a website, this way I don’t feel like I am really wasting my time and my mind gets off of the task I was doing. After a few questions, I can go back to my work with a clear head ready to start again.
In conclusion, it is possible to earn money answering questions online, but if you are going to do it, I would advise you get a prepaid debit card so you are not risking your bank account information. I would also recommend that you not spend hours a day at this because you will not make enough money answering questions to support yourself. This is a good little egg to have, one of those that could be cashed out a few times a year but not something you should depend on for an income.
