Growing up, I thought there was only one kind of bagel, but then I found out different. There are several bagel shops in town, but I have to say these three are my favorite and each shine in their own way. They each have a history that started in the New York City and came to our part of the world in Knoxville. Visit and let your nose take a whiff of the wonderful smells each bakery has to offer.
Einstein Brothers Bagels
1049 North Cedar Bluff Road
Einstein Brothers are vegetarian friendly and you can download their menu online to look at later and can check out their nutritional facts. I like the Asiago bagel dogs or their bagel turkey melt. I had never had a bagel melt but got hooked quickly. And don’t forget to visit the Baristas. My favorite is the Caramel Macchiato. Nothing like an espresso to get ya going.

Best Bagels & Deli
120 South Peters Road
Best Bagels & Deli has been serving the neighborhood for over 17 years. Not only creating their wonderful bagels, but making cream cheeses as well while adding real fruits and veggies to the mix. One of my favorites is the Garlic bagel with the Lox cream cheese. Try one and see how good it is. You can also download and print their menu.

Panera has a card membership if you wish to try it. It’s cool to get free stuff and birthday gifts. They also have free WiFi but instead of giving you a number, they give you a pager. When your order is ready they will give you a buzz and you can pick it up. Their staff is helpful and the one I go to has a little room where you can have meetings. I like their Chive and Onion cream cheese but last time I went, I tried the Cinnamon Crunch bagel and I will have to say I will definitely try that one again.
