The news media reports stories of the violence that takes place in our communities almost every day. Of course, they are not able to articulate in detail, but they are usually able to paint a clear picture of the overall issues of violence that are prevalent in our communities
Crime is a strong motivator to capture the attention of the community and should cause residents and the business community to unify against violence. Sometimes after there has been a murder, there is a candlelight vigil held in honor of the victim. But true healing happens when someone takes the time to reach out to people who are left hurting and feeling helpless, alone and still frightened.
When a crime takes place and someone is victimized, who is there to help the families affected by the crime? Who is there when the police clears the scene, and everyone goes home. Is there a true acknowledgement in the community that there are people going home in pain? Who will take the time to help them through the healing process?

Our goal in this endeavor is to deliver appropriate physical, emotional, and spiritual support to victims of violent crime, to be a source of hope and healing for those who have been wounded by the violent actions of others and to respond with compassion and love for the purpose of meeting the needs of the victim.
