The Rialto Theater in Troy, Pennsylvania, is hosting a Girl’s Night Out on April 8, 2014. There will be a movie, a bit of group therapy, wine and, of course, popcorn at the event.
The movie, which will be playing, is “The Single Moms Club” by Tyler Perry. Staring in this comedic movie are Tyler Perry, Nia Long, Amy Smart, and William Levy.
The five single moms in this movie meet at the school, which their children attend. There is one incident at the school which bands them together. The four women quickly become friends. In their support group, the single moms help each other find some laughter as they encounter the difficulties of their lifestyle.
I have watched the official trailer of this movie and it looks very good. As a single mom, I can relate in a big way to different situations in this movie. I think other moms will enjoy this movie a whole bunch. After all, kids are kids and they seem to give their parents problems no matter if the parent is single or not.
The Single Moms Club movie is rated PG 13 and runs for just under 2 hours. The film itself was filmed in Atlanta Georgia, according to the Internet Movie Database.
The doors of the theater open at six and the movie begins promptly at seven. It will cost fifteen dollars to watch the Single Mom’s Club, but that ticket price does include a glass of soda, a small bag of popcorn and a sample of wine from a local winery. There are also door prizes to be won and the drawings for those begin at quarter of seven.
Fifteen dollars for a night of laughter with your best friends seems like a great deal. Add in a funny movie and it will be a night to remember. So grab your woman friends and go share some laughs. The group therapy women will get is shared laughter from the movie and not a mental health exercise.
Grovedale Winery of Wyalusing will be hosting the wine tasting. The winery will also be selling wine by the glass for those over twenty-one.
Reservations are required for this event. Area women can make reservations by calling the Rialto Theatre, 570-673-4444, MC Insurance in Troy, 570-297-2128 or the Canton Independent Sentinel, 570-673-5151.
