This older Basketball LA wife has proven to be a manipulative, calculating, puppet master who continuously wreak havoc in the lives of her cast and even family members time after time. In the Season 6 premiere, Jackie gathers all of the girls together for an introduction and to assign them tasks to support her upcoming gay and lesbian gala.
During this gathering, Christie remains poised and quiet the entire time giving one the impression that she would be less of a pot stirrer this time around. If you watch closely however, she is actually watching her subtle plans unfold. Let’s see. She invites these new wives and baby’s mothers that she already knew to be dramatic, hot-tempered fireballs into the alumni cast’s circle.
Being that Jackie is the only one who seems to have known all of these women before the season started, it is clear that she is the one that holds the power. She will do anything to keep this power too. This includes not paying a party venue so she can in turn verbally attack the party planner and make it seem as if he did something wrong in securing the location; giving the network and viewers the necessary drama they all crave while watching ratchet TV.
Her most recent treachery led up to the meltdown of fellow cast member Draya Michele who Sunday Carter exposed to Jackie as a stripper known as Miami. Although Draya has owned up to her exotic dancer’s past from the beginning of the first season, Jackie reacted as if she was hearing this hot gossip for the first time in her life! It is clear that Sunday did not care for Draya; however, good ole Jackie was all too happy to tell Carter the information she received from her daughter concerning Draya’s new beau Orlando Scandrick. Apparently they had a fling that did not result in sex or even a kiss. Not only did she discuss this with Sunday before Draya, she tells Draya in front of Sunday and two other cast members and made it seem like it was more than what her daughter said it was!
This lead to a confrontation between Michele and Scandrick and an all-out brawl between Draya and Sunday which ended in Carter receiving one of the most epic black eyes in reality TV. This could have been avoided had Jackie not made sure Sunday heard a comment Draya made as she was leaving the room. After the fight, Jackie and Draya have a conversation where Draya is trying to explain to Jackie why she was angry in the first place; however, in typical Jackie fashion, this lead to her crying and talking about her own problems with her daughters. Clearly this cold and calculating woman is confused as to what real friendship is. It’s great for VH1 and the viewers; however, it sucks for her circle of friends.
