Placed in the corner of the Sundance Square Starbucks Coffee is a bright yellow and silver machine. Of course questions were raised on what it did for the coffee industry. Could this be a new way of brewing coffee? Why would Starbucks need a new machine when they just installed the Clover coffee press? I was told that Starbucks will be carbonating several of their drinks.
Jess, a General Manager at Starbucks explained “Carbonated drinks are a major seller in the food industry. Starbucks tested the machine out in Arlington and received a good response. They are being so secretive about it.” Carbonated coffee at Starbucks will not go over well. I think started really looking at the menu. What does the beverage giant already have on their menu that could work?
- Iced Lemonade Tea
- Any of the Starbucks Refreshers
- Several of the Evolution prepackaged drinks
Ultimately, I believe that Starbucks will be adding Italian style sodas to their current menu. Any syrup can be added to water and then carbonated to create a drink. I’m sure Starbucks will be coming up with additional secret recipes. Perhaps Starbucks coffee will also be including Italian cream sodas to the menu. The new product is so secretive that the company hasn’t added any information on their website. I know the first Starbucks secret recipe that I’m looking forward to trying is a carbonated Lime Refresher with coconut syrup.
