Indianapolis International Film Fest, started in 2004, is one of the famous and most watched film fests in the Midwest. The ever-building popularity and attendance for the past 10 years, Indy International Film Fest has been featuring the best in independent and innovative films from award winning professionals to emerging filmmakers. They have since exhibited films from nearly every state in the country and more than 50 countries around the globe.
This spring, they are back with something innovative and exciting called Film to Fork. They are offering a film and a dinner from March 6 to April 17, which is a celebration of film and food. This is a concept that has been done before and was well received.
This year, they are offering four movies/dinners and you can check out their schedule here. The tickets are not expensive and cost only $35 for a dinner, wine and a movie per person. The event will be held at Indiana Landmark Center thanks to the generous support from Efroymson Family Fun and Center for Urban Ecology at the Butler University.
I love the idea of spring film fest which is a perfect idea for a date night to watch some thought provoking movie along with good food and wine to satisfy my taste buds. The film fest is offering some great food from the hottest restaurants of Indianapolis making it perfect for date night or just an evening out with the friends.
The actual film fest will be held on July 17 to July 27 this year, and they have now begun acceptance of submissions. The past years have been successful featuring some great movies. Over a period of 10 days, people get to meet new friends, bond over films and make new memories. Remember to stick around for watching more movies than just one or two. So the next time you have a film bug or are looking for having a good time with friends or family, check out the Indy’s International Film Fest.
