Under my sink, in my bathroom drawers, and on the bathroom countertop are dozens and dozens
of beauty products. Cosmetic companies love me and oh, how I love them.. I do not think I am
by myself in this obsession. According to www.manta.com, there are over 178 cosmetic
manufacturers in the United States alone.
Pretty in My Pocket(www.prettyinmypocket.com), launched in 2013, is the free mobile app genius
created by Caroline van Sickle of Atlanta, Georgia. The way the free app works is pretty simple. You
scan the barcode of product you are considering buying and instantly you can get blog reviews of the product. There are hundreds of reviews(by consumers just like you) of beauty products right at
your finger tips. And the site www.prettyinmypocket.com says it has over 100,000 bar codes available.
Not only do you get reviews, but the free mobile app will locate the stores in your area that have the
same product and the price of the product. Then the mobile app goes one step further and informs
you if there are coupons available for the product and then allows you access to the coupons that are online.
I have extreme buyer’s remorse on many of my cosmetic purchases. Oh, I read reviews, but with my
busy schedule, I do not always have the reviews available when I run in the store to quickly purchase mascara or foundation.
Now I can get the review, check my price comparison, get coupons if they are available, and buy my
beauty product with Pretty in my Pocket(PRIMP). I expect that my bathroom drawers, counters, and cabinets will begin to be uncluttered very soon. I highly recommend that you ,too, PRIMP.
