In our society it seems that women find taller men more attractive. Even if you weren’t born to be six-foot-four, you can do a few simple things to appear taller. In fact, if you follow every tip you could look six inches taller than your actual height!
Stand up straight yet relaxed, gently pull your stomach in, and push your shoulders back. A simple way to do this is to pretend that the top of your head is connected to the ceiling by string. This string goes all the way down through your spine, helping you to stand up straighter and taller. This tip alone can instantly add on two inches to your height and make you look up to 10 pounds thinner. Good posture also makes you look confident, which women find very attractive.
This is one of the most difficult ways to look taller, though aiming for a healthy weight should be a given. Thinner men automatically look taller than men the same height yet who are overweight. Ease yourself into a healthier routine by getting in some form of exercise every day that you might enjoy such as a sport, martial arts, jogging, or joining a gym–and actually going! Swap out a few of the most unhealthy things you’re currently eating with healthier versions you enjoy. Small things add up over time.
While you don’t need to have your wardrobe tailored, make sure you wear clothes that fit well. Men who wear clothes that are too loose or too tight tend to look shorter than wearing something that’s their correct size. Rather than guessing or buying the size you always have been, measure yourself and get the right size for your current body type. You’ll look taller and thinner–a win-win combination.
Patterns and brightly colored clothes will make you look shorter since it calls attention to your height. Instead, wear solid colored pants and shirts, especially darker colors like blue, brown, navy, black and gray. Dark colors will also make you look thinner.
Two hat styles that most women find sexiest are the cabby hat and the fedora. Not only will these hats make you look taller, but they add an aura of sophistication and masculinity you won’t find in a baseball cap. Aim for a tweed fabric which looks less formal. The fedora can add up to four inches and the cabby adds about an inch.
When it comes to dress shoes, opt for styles that have a two-inch heel. With sports shoes, buy ones that have thicker soles. Although there are platform shoes with taller heels on them, they make you appear like you’re trying too hard to look taller.
By following one or all of the above tips you can add up to six-inches on your current height. Best of all, it looks natural, not forced.
