It doesn’t matter whether you’re the bride or the wedding planner, pulling together a wedding is a huge project. The best thing you can do when taking on wedding planning is to create goals. Below are some things that you should keep in mind when doing your wedding planning:
Look At Previous Weddings
Whether you are looking at T.V./ Movie weddings or weddings that you have visited as a guest, you have probably compiled a list of things that you like and things that you don’t like. Make a physical list of all the things you would like to include in your wedding (i.e. cake smashing or throwing the garter).
What traditions are most important to you? Discuss these topics with your significant other and come up with a plan of action. Do you plan on jumping the broom or are you going to break the glass? Make sure you incorporate both bride and groom’s cultures and traditions into your plans.
Prepare a Budget
Looking at a budget is going to be one of the most important things you do when you are planning a wedding. Set a reasonable budget and stick with it. It is true that you only get to experience this day once, but you definitely don’t want to go broke in the process. Make sure your budget is the realm of something you can afford.
