I grew up eating biscuits and gravy but never knew how to make it myself. I finally convinced my mom to help me experiment with finding the perfect recipe so I could enjoy it more. This was one of the more easier recipes to figure out and we only spent a few hours perfecting it. This isn’t a recipe I can have my nieces and nephews help me with because its down using the stove top. They were a little disappointed that they had to wait until they were old enough to use the stove. But everything was okay once they were able to eat the biscuits and gravy. They forgot all about not being able to help out with this receipt. I hope you enjoy, this recipe will serve two people. Happy eating!
1/2 pound of maple sausage
1/4 cup of butter
1/4 cup of flour
2 cups of milk
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of pepper
In a large frying pan, fry sausage. Break into small pieces while you are frying it. Do not drain.
Add butter and flour to frying pan and mix well.
Slowly add in milk, stirring it until it becomes creamy and thick.
Add salt and pepper. Add as much or as little as you prefer.
Serve over your favorite biscuit and enjoy.
