Things you’ll need:
2 unripe bananas
1 tbsp Salt
1/2 tbsp Turmeric
Oil to fry
Step 1 peel the bananas and cut them into thin slices
Step 2 in a bowl add some water enough to soak the slices
Step 3 add the salt and turmeric to the water
Step 4. Let the slices soak in the salt water for about 30minutes so the flavors blend well
Step 5. Remove the slices from the water and put them on a paper towel to dry
Step 6. Fry the slices in hot oil until they have become crisp and firm
Step 7. Let them cool and store in air tight boxes This recipe roughly makes about 4 servings of banana chips.
The oil free version:
You may also bake the chips instead of oil frying them.
Step 1: preheat oven to 180F
Step 2: place chips on a baking tray and place it in the oven for about 1 to 2 hrs or until the chips have become crisp flipping them half way through
step 3 : let them cool before storing and serving as cooler chips become more crispier.
