There is a lot of talk online about getting paid to test free products so I wanted to see if this was something you could really do. I was more interested than getting the free product than getting paid but hey getting paid to get free stuff that worked for me too.
I began searching online for companies that paid people to test their products, or be a product tester as it is called. I found huge lists of companies that would do this, some survey companies also offer product testing but they are few and far between. You are much better off going with a company who just does product testing. There are some sites that ‘pay ‘ you in points that you use to get even more stuff, those who will pay you with Amazon gift cards, and there are even some who will send you a check in the mail for testing their products.
Product testing works like this, you will get an email invitation, but first you have to take a survey which you are not paid for in order to ensure you qualify to test the product. Companies have different criteria, from how much your yearly income is, to how many dogs you have. It all depends on the product being tested. After you take the survey, if you qualify you will give the company your home address. Most of these companies do not send their products to PO boxes so it is important to give them your physical address. This is because the products generally come by UPS or FED EX. In about 2-5 days you will receive your product, you will also receive a list of instructions about how they want you to test the product.
After you have tested the product, you will receive another email with another survey which will ask you questions about how you tested the product, what you thought of it, and how it compares to other products you have used. Finally after you have tested the product and taken you follow up survey, you will be awarded with your payment. Sometimes it can take up to a few weeks to receive your payment but don’t fret it will be on its way. I usually forget I have a payment coming when it comes to product testing because I am just happy I got something for free.
This is something you can do in your spare time, more like a hobby than a real money maker because you never know when you are going to get picked to test a product. There are times I am testing 3-4 products a week and times I am testing 1-2 a month. It all depends on what the companies need tested and if you fit the criteria.
