Birthday Cake: Tick Tick Boom Cake
You’ll need these supplies to upgrade this plain birthday cake: Candy confetti, four frosted cupcakes, sparkler, lighter.
Place the four cupcakes in a square in the center of the frosted cake. If the cake is small, use mini cupcakes. Sprinkle the confetti candy around the cupcakes, making it look like the cake blew confetti from the center. Leave a 1 to 2-inch border confetti-free around the cupcakes. Now break off some of the long stem of the sparkler, leaving 4 to 5 inches of stick. Poke the sparkler into the center of the cake. When you are ready to sing “Happy Birthday” light the sparkler and present the cake!
