Boobie beanies are a great fun way to be supportive of breastfeeding. While not everyone agrees with them, they are an attention grabber! Here is how to make your own newborn boobie beanie.
Choose two colors of yar. Your breast color and nipple color. Worsted Weight Yarn.
You will also need a size k/ 6.5 mm crochet hook.
Stitch marker or yarn to keep your place
Sc- Single crochet
Hdc- Half double crochet
* * Rept the instruction between the stars.
Create a magic circle.
With nipple color
Round 1. Chain 1 into your circle, Sc 6 times into your circle. Do not join to the chain. Work in a spiral. Pull your magic circle tight.
Round 2-3. Sc around your circle ( 6)
Round 4. Place 2 sc in each stitch around ( 12)
Change to main breast color
Round 5. Place 2 hdc in each stitch around ( 24)
Round 6. *Sc 1, hdc 2( in next stitch. Rept this pattern around for 36 stitches.
Round 7- 16 Hdc around skip one stitch and join.
Round 17. Ch2, * Fphdc first stitch, Bphdc next stitch* rept around. Join
