How to Choose Asparagus
When choosing asparagus at the grocery store you will want to look for the stalks that are firm and fresh with compact tips that are closed. It usually comes sold in a bundle so make sure it doesn’t have a bad smell, that could mean somewhere in the bundle is a rotten stalk. The larger the spears are in diameter the more tender they will be.
