Our skin sheds naturally but sometimes it does not shed as fast as we would like it too. Here are some homemade facial peel ideas to help remove unwanted skin.
Homemade facial peels work much like the kind you buy at the store but they can be less expensive without added chemicals.
Always wash and dry your skin well before any facial and make sure the mix is not hot before you put it on your skin. I have put facial peels on my skin when it was too hot and burned myself. I don’t recommend it. Also keep the facial off anything that you do not want a facial on. A facial may remove hair that you do not want removed so keep the facial peel mix off your eyebrows and off of any other hair you do not want removed.
A basic recipe for a facial peel is:
1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin
1 tablespoon of milk
Mix together all ingredients well and heat in a microwave on high for about 15 seconds. Let cool to skin comfort before applying a thin layer on the skin. Then let it dry completely, about a half hour and peel off. Remember peeling off a facial can hurt.
Once your mix is hot it will start to harden. There is a small amount of time between facial that is too hot to use and too hard to spread. Use caution and never spread on a mixture that is too hot.
Oatmeal is good for skin and you can add a half teaspoon of water soaked oatmeal to the mix before you microwave it.
If you are lactose intolerant you can substitute the milk for coconut milk, almond milk or rice milk.
You can also add a few drops of essential oil of your choice. Make sure it is oil that will not harm your skin. Tea tree oil or lavender oil are a couple examples. Only put a drop or two into your facial mix after you have micro waved the facial and mix it in well.
After you have peeled off your homemade facial you may have some residue to wash off with soap and water.
Always make sure the ingredients you use are not harmful to your skin. Be sure you are not allergic to any ingredients you put on your skin. If you would like to read more you can go to http://www.elegantmiss.com/how-to-make-the-mother-of-all-natural-face-peels/.
