Yellowstone National Park has the Lone Star Geyser trail which is near Kepler Cascades. This is an easy trail to hike on without many hills or rocks to navigate over or around.

On many days you will not see many other people on this trail. It is off the beaten path yet easy to get to. As you hike along Lone Star Geyser trail you will see the cascades rumble along. The sound of the rumbling water is wonderful to hear.
This is one of the easier trails to take in Yellowstone Park yet you do want to wear the proper clothes and foot wear. Prepare for a hike and wear comfortable shoes. Also wear clothes for the weather you are having. On a sunny hot day wear a protective hat, sun glasses and sun block. On a cold day take warm clothes to hike in.
Take along a snack with you and some water to drink since you will not run into any drinking water along the trail.
At the end of the trail you will see Lone Star Geyser. It has a 9 foot cone that erupts about every three hours into a 45 foot plume of hot water and steam. Then the hot water runs off in small streams of steamy hot water. The Lone Star Geyser can erupt for 30 minutes at a time. If you are hiking there you may have a three hour wait for lone star to erupt but it is worth the wait. It is a vibrant beautiful geyser that is impressive to see.
As you hike the Lone Star Geyser trail keep a watch out for wild animals because there are plenty to see. Make a little noise so you do not surprise a bear on the trail. You may run into a moose or an elk. Marmots and squirrels run about and live near the trail. This is a truly lovely hike in Yellowstone National Park.
