This article is to inform women of the health issues they need to heed and watch out for. It’s best to keep these health issues checked often in more than one way. Since I am over 40, these are also health risks I also must be aware of and heed. One very real threat is that of which women are going through what we call, “a change of life, also known as menapause.” Which leads to the next important health risk. During these times of menapausal years, it is extremely important that you take measures to ward off becoming pregnant. A very real danger that many women wave off or scoff about.
The third is to watch your weight as your thyroid has now slowed down. Most women exercise more or change to healthier food habits. A very serious disease is cadiovascular or high blood pressure. Most women with cardiovascular disease, have heart attacks 28% of women 40 and over, die of heart attacks. Compared to men 40 and over, only 18% according to the national heart association. Strokes due to high blood pressures or women whom do not take medications to regulate the condition.
Loss of eyesight is another health risk. Everyone knows that due to changes and hormones the body slows down and begins to go downhill. So, keeping your eyesight checked at least once a year is important. Another health issue that needs addressing is your teeth. Bad teeth are bad for the heartas poison from a bad tooth or gums goes straight to the heart. Most have all their teeth pulled and adjust to wearing dentures.
Another health risk is hearing. Yes, even your hearing can become impaired. A checkup on your hearing is very important, since it affects everything you do constantly and which can prevent you from driving. A mammogram is very, very important to keep checked once or twice a year, depending upon your health or DNA that risks or runs higher of cancer due to family history.. Colon cancer is a very important factor to be aware of and to be tested once per year.
The last important risks are osteoporosis, bone and arthritis or joint disease. Knee or hip wear and tear are high risks or to have fluid build up or pop. They can cause much pain and if not monitored, can put more stress on your heart. Gallbladders can be an issue as well, an easy sign of issues are belching & bleaches with odors of an egg is present which can also cause nausea. A very common problem is gastritis or stomach problems. Esophagus cancer or issues also should be checked if burping or belching is an issue. If you can, have all these conditions checked regularly. Stay healthy and safe.
