There once was a girl who lived at the top of a hill. Everything about her was a mystery. She couldn’t let anyone break down her walls. There were so many things in her life she couldn’t understand. Why does anyone who says they wanna be with her forever show her they care–only to up and leave her? She finally got her life somewhat together to make a fresh start. She got her tickets to the Jeff Dunham show and was so excited to see him again. She pushed away this eerie bad feeling that something bad was going to happen, since nothing happened the first night she saw Jeff.
She got there and went to sit down in Agricultural hall. This guy came up out of the blue and sat next to her and she was happy someone showed interest in her. He told her how cute she was and what beautiful eyes she had. He asked her to go outside with him and she figured she wouldn’t mind because he is a employee and nothing would happen at a fair only that they could get to know each other. She followed him outside Agricultural hall in a gated area. She sat down facing him his hand in her hair calling her beautiful. The feeling that haunted her came back. He took her leg and tried to put it on top of his. When she yelled don’t touch me! He took his hand and put it up her shirt and grabbed her and that’s when she stood up. Her body just went numb and she was frozen with fear. He stood up and she said I need to go. He said where? She said to the show. He said you have time it doesn’t start for hours. She yelled this time please move i have to go! He said your going to have to go past me. She couldn’t deal with this game anymore and his face was making her sick. She walked past him only he grabbed her around the waist saying I’m not going to hurt you. she panicked and screamed get the hell off me but he wouldn’t let go. She finally broke free after screaming two more times get the hell off me and scraping her arm against the wall. She finally got away as people just looked and walked on by. He was cursing saying you’re wearing a g-string what the hell did you think was gonna happen. She finally got to a bench inside agricultural hall away from him and just cried her eyes out.
Her heart was pounding and she was shaking. She thought of reporting it but all she wanted was to run and never see him again. She had to collect herself because the Jeff Dunham show would be going on stage in a hour in a half. The night Jeff came out onstage was amazing. She needed a good laugh so bad but during the break she was sitting thinking what if she comes face to face with him after the show. She did everything she could not to cry during breaks because she can’t break down in front of people. She went home that night into her room. She looked in the mirror hating herself crying because she didn’t report it and let him walk the streets. Justice was never served except what she got. She picked up a pair of scissors and slit her wrist 3 times. The warm blood she could feel on her arm as if nothing happened. She was just so angry. She had visions instead of running away she could of killed him but she knew that was wrong. She walked upstairs to bed to lay down. She closed her eyes and that’s when she felt his arms around her waist but this time she couldn’t break free. She woke up crying so hard she hyperventilated. Every time she closed her eyes she could see his face. It’s like a nightmare she walks through but there’s no ending. That night was the worst. She never closed her eyes. She cried in pain holding her wrist under the blanket. That night she wished she would never wake up the next day. But the sun came up and she was still in a fog. She went to her room on the computer but the memory was like a play. The curtain was unable to close and she watched him attack her over and over. That night she lost everything and finally broke. Haunted by the choice to just let it go now he’s probably laughing at her and moving onto his next victim. She looked in the mirror with tears streaming down her face why couldn’t she fight back and hit him that night. But life isn’t always fair and justice was never served. For so long she blamed herself. If only she wore jeans. If only she didn’t follow him there. Now she looks in the mirror and all she sees is a wasted life. Scratches on her arms and a life that is dangling by a thread. Nobody to hold onto and cushion the fall. She lost everything and nothing would ever go back to the way it used to. She looked in the mirror haunted at the image she saw because the girl looking back at her in the mirror was…it was me
