Character restricted empowered ISOs are some of the most powerful ISOs in Marvel: Avengers Alliance. Many of them drastically improve heroes as well as, or even better than, an alternate uniform. The majority of these ISOs are acquired in heroic battles in season 2. The empowered ISOs belonging to the Warriors Three are also acquired in a heroic battle, but this battle is in season 1, chapter 2, mission 6. It is a premium mission, so all of the battles in the mission are difficult, but the mission is unlocked for all players. For more information, read the following guide to the Warriors Three empowered ISOs in Marvel: Avengers Alliance.
Loquacious E-ISO, Fandral (A+) – Loquacious applies migraine, in addition to distraction, when Fandral uses Witty Retort. If you have a party entirely composed of Warriors Three, Fandral will use Witty Retort on every single attack. This effectively increases the health of your team by almost 100%. This is so good that it is worth repeatedly farming this mission just for this empowered ISO. If you don’t have the Asgardian Tankard or don’t have a second member of the Warriors Three, the value of this E-ISO is lessened considerably.
Disciplined E-ISO, Hogun (A-) – Disciplined makes Hogun immune to winded, off-balance, fumbling, and flanked. The key part of that description is that, unless Hogun is generalized, he will always be able to take advantage of his class abilities. The latter two immunities are also nice, but flanked is the only immunity likely to be useful regularly and only if you play PvP, due to the presence of Cyclops in PvP. The latter two immunities do not confer general immunity follow-up attacks or counter attacks, and as an infiltrator, Hogun is still seriously threatened by any scrapper. This ISO will prove most useful in PvP against Rescue. If you use Hogun in PvP, you should take the time to farm the Disciplined empowered ISO.
Voracious E-ISO, Volstagg (B+) – The biggest advantage to this E-ISO is that it allows Volstagg to counterattack more often when he has used Guard the Rear. It also increases the damage Axe-arang, but that is a mixed blessing, since it also decreases the accuracy of that attack. If your play style with Volstagg is almost entirely based on using Guard the Rear every other round, a free stack of well fed every round is truly excellent. If you prefer to use him more aggressively, you won’t gain a lot of benefit from this ISO, unless you can also apply targeted to enemies with one of your other characters. If you get this ISO while farming for the others, it is clearly worthwhile. If it is the last one left to get, you probably don’t want to spend the time and energy.
