When building a team in Marvel: Avengers Alliance, you often want to include heroes that can apply specific status effects. Stealthy attacks are moderately common in the game, though not all stealthy attacks are made equally. You generally want to use stealthy attacks to avoid protection and counterattack abilities. When you need stealthy a stealthy attack, it is usually best if all of a hero’s attacks are stealthy, rather than just one or two, though there are exceptions. The following guide to the best stealthy heroes in Marvel: Avengers Alliance will help you choose the character that will best help your team.
Grey Suit Black Widow (Tactician) – Not only is Black Widow one of the rare tacticians with a stealthy attack, but while she is in this particular outfit, all of her attacks are innately stealthy. This is particularly useful when battling an infiltrator because she doesn’t provoke counterattacks from that enemy. The alternate outfit isn’t free, but it is roughly the same cost or less than any other hero in the game that is always stealthy or effectively always stealthy.
Valkyrie – Valkyrie is one of only two bruisers in the game that has a stealthy attack. And, as an added bonus, her Flight of Valkyrie power negates half the reason that a stealthy attack is needed. This area attack inflicts off-balance on all enemies, which means you can use an area stealthy attack to remove counter attack abilities of all enemies, if that is your reason for needing stealth. If you need to bypass a protector, she can’t help with that, unfortunately. As for the other bruiser with a stealthy attack, it is Horseman of Death, and he can only use that attack every three rounds.
Invisible Woman – There are a total of three infiltrators that have all stealthy attacks including Invisible Woman. Elektra only has single target attacks and Nightcrawler’s only area attack deals pitiful damage and doesn’t come until he is level 9. Invisible Woman gets her area attack at level 6 and it deals rather good damage. Furthermore, her level 9 attack power, Force Cage, is actually subtle rather than stealthy, which makes it completely immune to any effects that retaliate or protect, rather than mostly immune. Of all the infiltrators that are stealthy, Invisible Woman is the best.
Quicksilver – Only two of this hero’s attacks are stealthy, but they are his 1st and 2nd level attacks and one of the two is an area attack. Between getting his stealthy attacks early and always acting twice per round, he is a great when you need stealth. He is also exactly the right class for these advantages. As a scrapper he can follow-up against infiltrators, who usually require stealth to avoid counterattacks, and he can avoid the many bruisers that protect in this game.
Squirrel Girl – Technically Squirrel Girl only has one stealthy attack, Wrath of the Raging Squirrel. But her Furry Fury attack is a summon attack, which has nearly identical properties to a stealthy attack, except that it can’t avoid protection. Since these are usually the only two attacks she will use in a battle, she effectively is stealthy for the entire battle when facing enemies without protection.
