Springtime means the graduation season for many: middle school, high school, and college students are getting their diplomas. It is an exciting and stressful time for both parents and children alike. It is a new chapter in life, which asks for the celebration and gifts. I will try to alleviate this anxiety for parents, relatives, and friends with my simple, last-minute graduation gifts guide.
Here it is:
1) A monetary gift is the best gift for the youngster to receive, especially high school and college grads.
None of them have stable jobs or disposable incomes to meet their needs. They would be happy and grateful to receive any amount of money and spend it on themselves.
2) A valuable piece of jewelry that has some emotional meaning.
A diamond heart ring or a pendant will signify the undying love between a parent and a child (I gave my daughter a diamond, two hearts joined together ring, to signify our closeness on her eighth grade graduation).
3) A brand new car is a priceless gift to give to a teen, or a down payment for a car loan as the alternative.
The assumption is here that the teenager has a driver’s license and knows how to drive.
4) An exotic vacation or a trip to Europe will be a nice reward for a hard work at school.
It could be a family get-away, not necessarily a solo vacation just for her. It should be your decision to make based on the maturity and intelligence of your child.
I hope all the above gift suggestions put you at ease.
