Father’s Day is around the corner, and it poses a dilemma for many of us who want to give dad a present. He has probably lived long enough to have received thousands of bad gifts throughout his life. You want to be original for once this holiday and give him something he really would want. Parents usually do not like to disclose to their children their true desires or secret wishes out of politeness, so we have to guess and sometimes it is hit or miss. If you are as close to your dad as I am, you would come up with at least one brilliant gift he will really appreciate.
Here are some of my suggestions for unique Father’s Day gifts:
A great bottle of wine or any other similar drink, which is hard to find, could be a nice gift.
-It must be unique in terms of packaging, taste, brewery, and expense, to name a few.
If he is a smoker, a box of expensive and rich in flavor cigars or cigarettes will be nice to give.
-Imported ones are the best kind and would be definitely unique to give by all means. Also, you can give him an interesting or vintage ashtray or cigarettes holder.
If your father dresses to impress, give him cool sunglasses or a watch.
-Those items should be stylish, expensive, and timeless pieces. Avoid buying anything cheap or gaudy; it defeats the purpose.
A gift that targets his hobby, interests, or his occupation is always great to give.
-These could be the golf clubs if he is a golfer; a nice camera if he is a photographer; a great book if he is a reader. You should know your dad well enough to “impose” on him these types of gifts.
I hope all the above put you at ease in terms of unique gift ideas.
