Everyone has played a racing game and if not then everyone has at least heard about racing games. As bland as that first sentence may sound it is oddly enough the truth. However I digress, now it is time to talk about a racing game that has recently come out whilst entering my list of favorite racing games.
I already know what most people who are reading this is thinking… how can this game be one of the games I suggest when it came out a mere week ago. Honestly the game is far from polished it even has some bugs that are extremely apparent; however this is not a negative opinion. The bugs that are apparent can be fixed, with that being said when the bugs are fixed I feel this game will be one of the greatest arcade/sim racing game out now. Enough about the bugs, the gameplay is amazingly put together. When you first start out after the tutorial race you can choose your difficulty, however this is not as simplistic as you may think. The options are not easy, medium, and hard like most games albeit that option is there for people who are lazy. With Grid Autosport you can choose from how many flashbacks you start off with, (Flashback is a feature similar to the forza series’ rewind) you can also decide which driving assists that you want to use which can greatly increase or decrease the difficulty of your racing experience. That brings me to my final point, the xp system. Depending on how you set up your difficulty you will receive an xp bonus which in my opinion grants the hardcore players a bit of leeway for being well… hardcore.
Overall my experience over the past week with Grid Autosport has been extremely satisfying, I would recommend this to any gamer who truly enjoys a game that presents features of sim and arcade combined.
