We all know what it’s like trying to lose weight quickly before the summer. I have tried many diets in my time and I think I finally found THE ONE…or should I say two. I decided to combine two separate diets this time and see what the outcome would be.
I started off with a detox using the Lemon Detox Master Cleanse. With this diet, you will drink a lemonade mix for seven days. I decided to go full force and do a full body cleanse which requires you to completely eliminate solid food from your diet during the cleanse. You will need to drink two liters of the lemonade drink each day throughout the timeframe of your cleanse. It’s very easy to make and all you need is fresh lemons, water, cayenne pepper, and organic maple syrup. The first couple of days can be killer, so make sure you are drinking plenty of water and keeping up on your lemonade drink or you may be tempted to give in. This detox worked wonders for me and I lost eight pounds within the first week.
After I completed the master cleanse, I decided that I would go the Atkins route. High protein and low carbohydrates are what makes this diet work for you. Load up on chicken, different types of fish, fruits, veggies, tea, and eggs. You can check out the Atkins web site to get more detailed information on meal planning. The good thing about the Atkins diet is that you don’t have to starve yourself in order to lose weight. You can make some delicious meals and still lose a lot of weight to get you summer ready!
It’s not all about diet; you have to get in the gym. I always find that the best way to help me lose weight quickly is to combine my diet with a lot of cardio. Running will give you the greatest results. If you are anything like me, you just made a little sound of irritation at having to run to lose weight. I hated it at first, but you build up your endurance and combined with your diet, you are bound to start shedding weight fast.
Make sure that you are working out 3-4 times a week. Don’t allow too many days in between workouts because that is an easy way to lose momentum and then you will be starting from scratch every time you hit the gym.
After my master cleanse and committing to the Atkins diet and exercise, I lost a total of 35 pounds in three months. It took a lot of dedication and hard work, but I did it and so can you.
