Time for Thai! I am not the most adventurous person when it comes to food, but recently I have found a new love for Thai food. The spices, the ingredients, everything about it make my stomach say “Sign me up please!” Here are some of my favorite Thai recipes that I think are not only easy, but good.
- Thai Red Chicken Curry – Are you interested in a flavorful dish? Well look no further with a little bit of love and some garlic, ginger and Thai red curry paste you can make this delicious recipe in no more than 30 minutes. With this recipe you need boneless chicken breast, onions, coconut milk (I exchanged this for almond milk), green chillies, coriander leaves, water, and salt. The thing that I like about this recipe is that once you boil the chicken and fry the onions it is a one pot recipe. You should cook it in a wok. You can exchange the chicken for shrimp or crab in order to make it you kind of dish.
- Thai Tamarind Spareribs – Who doesn’t love ribs! This recipe is another one of my favorites because I am a huge rib lover. It takes about an hour to make, but it’s worth the wait. It has the right about of kick to due to the red peppers, but it also has a great balance due to the lime juice. Here’s how to make it: Get some shallots, garlic, spring onions, limes, dark soy sauce, lime leaves, tamarind paste, vegetable oil, and of course ribs preferably pork. Season the ribs to taste put in the oven to bake, mix together the shallots, garlic, onions, lime juice, and sauté them in the vegetable oil. Add the tamarind paste, lime leaves, and dark soy sauce cook uncovered. Remove leaves pour mixture on ribs allow to sit for five minutes and serve.
- Lastly, try out some Thai Chicken Sate. Ingredients needed: fish sauce, minced garlic, sweet soy sauce, sugar, white pepper, turmeric powder, ground coriander, ground cayenne pepper, Masaman curry paste, coconut milk (exchanged this for almond milk. I am not a fan of coconut anything). Take the chicken breast and mix the above ingredients together and pour on the chicken. Cook each side on the grill for 4-5 minutes, and serve with dipping sauce of your choice.
In life you have to try new things, I’ve given you three!
