Gluten-free eating is the new 21st century diet. Two years ago, I decided that my daughter and I would start eating all wheat products. I purchased everything in wheat. Eventually my daughter began to get sicker. She had already been diagnosed schizo-affective and switching to all wheat products made her worse. Recently, I decided that wheat would be withdrawn from our diet. Everything with wheat flour was given away and our gluten-free journey began.
Gluten is a derivative or ingredient in wheat and for some people it can be a brain fog.
Therefore, the reason for switching to gluten-free was obvious. I needed my daughter to think more clearly; however, we got a bonus. We started to lose weight. Within six months, my daughter went from a size 22 to a size 18 and I went from a size 14 to a size 10/12. I lost about 10 pounds and my daughter lost about the same or less because she likes to eat. Consuming all gluten-free foods has been a very interesting journey. First and foremost, we had to get used to the taste of the foods because some of them tasted a little different. It has been a matter of trial and error. However, if you want to live gluten-free, it can be done.
How did we lose the weight? In addition to eating gluten-free, I switched us to eating mostly natural foods instead of artificially flavored foods. We started eating everything in the outer aisles at the grocery store. This would include all the fruits and vegetables. In addition, I steamed at least 7 vegetables everyday and wrapped them in a gluten-free wrap before eating. Ultimately, those who want to eat gluten-free must be prepared to eat at home more often. This will not only help you to lose weight, but will also save you some money. Persistence pays off!
Finally, if you really want to fit into your spring clothes, go gluten-free. In addition, you should exercise daily, eat smaller portions of food and drink lots of water. In conclusion, gluten-free diets work. I have tried it personally. This is the right time to decide on the best diet to get you into those beautiful spring wardrobes. Yes, gluten-free is the 21st century diet. Once you try it, you will not be disappointed with the results!
