The development of a Starjammers movie could be the Fox Studios answer to the Guardians of the Galaxy. The team went through a number of changes over the years as the team gained new members. The original members Corsair, Raza, Hepzibah and Ch’od escaped from the Shi’Ar (Shee Are) slave pits. From their humble beginnings, the Starjammers became a force that would lead a rebellion to free the Shi’Ar Empire. Here are the members that came to the team in later years.
Binary (Carol Danvers)
Carol Danvers is also known as Ms. Marvel and a member of the Avengers. Danvers lost her Ms. Marvel powers through a confrontation with the X-Men member Rogue. Danvers later was exposed to extreme levels of cosmic energy and the result was new powers. As Binary, Danvers gained superhuman strength and control of cosmic energy blasts. Binary also had the ability to fly and could survive in the vacuum of space.
Lilandra was the rightful heir to the imperial throne of the Shi’Ar Empire and was robbed of her throne by her older sister Deathbird. Lilandra joined the Starjammers and provided them aid to help restore her rightful rule over the empire. Lilandra was an expert is various alien weaponry including pulse blasters, swords and spears. She also wielded an alien pulse sword that emitted a beam of pure white light. Lilandra wore specialized Shi’Ar battle armor that could withstand various physical and energy attacks. She also possessed a limited telepathy that allowed to sense the mental states of those around her.
Havoc (Alexander Summers)
Havoc is the youngest son of Starjammers leader Christopher Summers. He will eventually come to lead the Starjammers following his father’s death. Havoc has the ability to project high intensity bursts of plasma. He wore a uniform that helped him control his blasts. Havoc appeared as a main character in X-Men First Class and had a passing reference in Days of Future Past.
Polaris (Lorna Dane)
Polaris is the daughter of Magneto and inherited all of his magnetic powers. Anything that Magneto can do, Polaris has the ability to do. Polaris has the ability to magnetically manipulate any kind of metal. She can also project bursts of magnetic energy that can disrupt electronic and computer systems. Lorna developed the ability to create magnetic bolts of energy that delivered a massive static shock to enemies.
Marvel Girl (Rachel Summers)
Rachael Summers comes to the mainstream time from an alternate future where the Sentinels were not stopped and are destroying the world. Rachael arrives in the mainstream time line and is shocked to find events of the current reality not matching her own. Telepathy gives Summers the ability to read minds, and plant thoughts into the minds of others.
One of the more devastating attacks that Rachael possesses is a psionic bolt. Telekinesis is the ability to move objects with the power of the mind. Rachel possesses this power to an incredible degree. Rachel could levitate matter and even give herself the ability to fly at amazing speeds.
After tapping into the Phoenix Force, Rachel’s mental powers are magnified to an extreme level. She could manipulate both time and space. Rachael was one of the most powerful mutants in the X-Men and was able to control the Phoenix Force to her maximum benefit.
