Easter is the perfect time for you and your family to get creative and do some arts and crafts. There are some great do-it-yourself crafts for all ages from toddlers to teens to help pump up the spirit during the Easter holiday. These crafts are great for decorating around the house or preparing Easter baskets for the children.
Easter Bunny Basket – This is an easy and fun way to make Easter baskets for your children. All you need is:
Pink Felt (can substitute pink construction paper)
White Felt (can substitute white construction paper)
All you have to do is glue the cotton balls around the entire basket, you’ll want to make sure that everything is covered except for the handle. Then cut ears out of the white felt (or white construction paper) and small inner ears out of the pink felt (or pink construction paper). Attach a small upside down pink felt triangle for the bunny’s nose. Then glue on googly eyes and a pipe cleaner shaped like a mouth. Voila!
Easter Bunny Cupcakes – This is a delicious and fun way to get crafty during Easter. All you need is:
Cupcakes (make your favorite recipe)
Pink decorators’ sugar
Pink jellybean nose
Chewable sweet tart eyes
Once you’ve baked your cupcakes, ice the cupcakes with white icing and cover the top with shredded coconut to make the bunny’s fur. Then cut a large marshmallow in half widthwise. Squeeze each half to give an oval shape and decorate the sticky side of each with pink decorators’ sugar and set in place for ears. Then add the jellybean nose, sweet tart eyes, and the mini marshmallows for cheeks.
Easter Bunny Marshmallows – Easter bunny marshmallows are super cute little bunnies that kids love to make….and then eat! All you need is:
Candies for the ears and nose (Mike and Ike’s, jelly beans, etc.)
Black edible marker (available in the cake decorating section)
Just stick the candies you use for the ears and nose in the marshmallow. If they don’t stick, use a little frosting as glue. Then use your marker to draw on the rest of the face. Then you and the family can use these as decorations or snacks at your Easter party.
